A Movie to Motivate You
My son, who is also a coach turned me onto this movie the other day. If you have been reading my articles for any length of time, you will know that when I find an inspiring book or movie that will help motivate people to change their lives, I’m going to talk about it. This movie was more of a documentary, unlike Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead which was quite entertaining as well as educational.
This movie so inspired my son, he has been eating only a plant based whole foods diet for a week now. I decided to step up my commitment to my diet as well and have been following suit. I must admit that as soon as I clean up my diet, everything else seems to fall in place. When I take good care of my body, I feel so much better, physically, emotionally and mentally.
I think the message of this movie goes along with what I typically tell my clients as well. Clean eating is the best thing you can do to jumpstart your weight loss. But sticking to a plant based diet (at least as the rule) is a surefire way to increase your chances for a longer healthier life.
Imagine that you can control and yes, even reverse heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes and much more including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and cancer just by modifying your diet to be free of high fructose corn syrup, refined carbohydrates, and animal proteins. This is a way of life, not a fad diet. I for one, am learning to love my veggies and finding it easier and easier to enjoy substitutes for meat like my go to favorite: portobello mushrooms!
The more I learn about the effects of eating whole plant based foods, the more I am motivated to maintain my lifestyle of juicing, Shakeology, and learning to cook delicious vegan meals.
